A Prayer for Today
April 13, 2008
Dear God,
I believe that You are working all things together in my life for my own good. I thank you Lord for that but you need to help me believe more. Help me to quit getting so discouraged by all this junk going on around me. Please, lift my heart burdens and heal my hurting heart.
I want to please you Lord and if I’m going to do that I need your help. Bless me with peace so that I can be a blessing to those I live and work with. Please, Lord, I know you understand why everything is happening but I need to trust you more. Help me Lord to believe it will all work out and that good will come out of even the bad.
Thank you Lord for listening and letting me talk with you today!

Heavenly Father,
What a joy to be your child. Some days it just overwhelms me and today is one of those days. Thank you, Father. Help me to believe it so much that every day is like today. A good day! And Father, help my kids to have one of these days too. It’s got to be hard for them with all this “stuff” going on. Bless them and each of us so much that the politics and the evil of the world won’t discourage too much.
Bless us Today! Father!

Father in Heaven ... Creator and sustainer of life ... Ah, spring! Thank you for spring, Father. Everywhere You show me hope. The geese are paired and ready to fly away to start a new family. The tulips are just starting to break through ... and I know that soon their colors will reflect Your glory. Thank you, Father. Thank you for spring. Thank you for hope!

Dear God! I believe, but I need to believe more. Help me, Father, to trust you more. It seems like just about the time I am feeling like I know You, I find a doubt or I get distracted. Please, help me. I want to believe. Seek Your help Father.

Dear Father,
Thank you for being my constant! It seems sometimes as if there is nothing I can really depend on. Colorado weather ... well, at least in March ... fickle friends, laws that change on a whim, courts that punish a small offense and let off murders on technicalities. It's so frustrating, but then I draw a breath and know that You are still there and that it is only my poor understanding that keeps me from seeing all that You are doing. Help me to see, Lord. May we each see Your hand and may we each do Your will. When the sun goes down on this day helps us all to rest and be at peace.
Thanks, Father, for being there for me!

Dear Father in Heaven,
Thank you for spring! Everything about this time of year lifts my spirit, and I know that all of this, Your creation, was designed for my enjoyment. Thank you, Father! Thank you for the robins and the doves ... for the tulips just starting to show ... for hope and life and the peace of knowing that in the midst of all this ... war, hate, jealousy and I'll put politics in there also ... that You Father are in charge and that You will work all things out to Your glory and our blessing.

Dear God,
I come to You today asking that You will help me live a life of trust in You. Please help me to love those who are close to me more, and those whom I don’t know, help me to be sensitive to their needs as well. Lord, I need wisdom to know just what I should say and do and without Your help, this day will be just like too many others that just start and stop with anything in between.
Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to die for me … and thank You for giving me your Holy Spirit. Now, I would ask that you continue to give me all the things I need and also the kind of heart that would make you happy.
This is Your day Father and I will try my best to be happy in it.
